MSc Dissertation Project Approval Confirmation: A Retrospective Performance Analysis
I have received approval to proceed with my self-defined dissertation project. The approved project focuses on analysing a completed white-collar boxing bout (18th November 2025), using a data-driven approach to evaluate physiological demand, fatigue, and performance efficiency.
The study will utilise a structured dataset consisting of:
- Round-by-round fight performance data (including punches thrown, landed, and accuracy)
- Observational and event-based analysis of the bout
- Training workload data collected prior to the fight
The project will apply quantitative analytical methods, including descriptive statistics, trend analysis, and comparative performance evaluation, supported by data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Python.
This confirmation reflects that I have received approval to carry out this dissertation project and proceed with the outlined analytical framework.
